Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

President Yoon Suk Yeol's official visit to the Czech Republic has deepened the existing strategic partnership between the two countries, paving the way for more diverse and future-oriented cooperation.

First lady Kim Keon Hee visited the National Library of the Czech Republic on Friday, 20 September, to observe a demonstration of the restoration of ancient books. A senior official from the Korean presidential office explained that her visit was an opportunity to introduce the value of hanji, traditional Korean paper, to Czech officials.

"The book restoration demonstration was held to commemorate the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Library of Korea and National Library of the Czech Republic for the exchange of restoration techniques for ancient texts and manuscripts. The signing of MOU coincided with President Yoon's official visit to the Czech Republic," the official told reporters.
