The Library of E. Barwiński
The library of the Polish historian and archivist Eugeniusz Barwiński (1874–1947) comprises valuable sources for Polish history (chronicles, statutes, laws etc.), numerous Latin and Polish prints containing dossiers and various original sources concerning political and religious life. A number of documents deal with the historical relations between Poland and Moscow and the wars that Poland led. The library includes around six hundred 16th to 18th century prints with the prevalence of Cracow prints, but there are also numerous prints from other printing workshops in towns in Poland as well as elsewhere in Europe.
